A great Napa day ends with everyone home safe — and nobody stuck spitting into a bucket because they drew the short straw. Our professional wine tour drivers take the wheel so your whole group can taste. We drive your car or rental, or arrange a vehicle if you need one, and we know the valley’s back roads, crush pads and tasting rooms like locals, because we are.

What a dedicated wine tasting driver does for your day

  • Door-to-door service — pickup at your hotel, rental home or the Napa Valley Wine Train station.
  • Route planning included — we sequence your winery reservations to cut backtracking on Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail.
  • Your car, our driver — no shuttle schedules, no strangers, no per-person pricing. One hourly rate for the whole group.
  • Local knowledge — lunch stops in Yountville, picnic-friendly wineries, quiet Calistoga alternatives when St. Helena is packed.

Simple, honest pricing

From $49 per hour, 5-hour minimum. That covers a licensed, insured professional driver for your entire day. No fuel surcharges, no per-mile fees, no 20% mandatory service charge. Compare that with $115–$170 per hour for chauffeured vehicles and $150+ per person for group van tours — driving your own car with our driver is the best value in the valley.

Popular tasting routes we drive every week

Classic Highway 29 first-timer day

Oakville and Rutherford estates in the morning, lunch in St. Helena, one grand Calistoga finish. Ideal introduction to the valley’s famous cabernet houses.

Silverado Trail quiet side

Smaller family producers, shorter drives, no tour-bus crowds — the route locals take their visiting friends on.

Sparkling start, cab finish

Begin with bubbles in Carneros, work north through Yountville, end with a reserve tasting above the fog line.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a wine tour driver cost in Napa?

Most Napa wine tour drivers charge between $45 and $85 per hour, usually with a 5 to 6 hour minimum. Our rates start at $49 per hour with no hidden fuel or insurance surcharges — you only add winery tasting fees and an optional gratuity.

Does the driver drive my own car?

Yes. Our most popular service is a professional driver behind the wheel of your own car or rental. You keep your own space and schedule, and there is no vehicle rental cost at all.

How many wineries can we visit in one day?

Three to four wineries is the sweet spot for a full day. Tastings take 60 to 90 minutes each, and most wineries stop seating after 4pm. Your driver will pace the day and handle the driving between appointments.

Do you help plan the winery route?

Yes — winery route help is included. Tell us your taste (cabernet, sparkling, small family producers) and we will suggest a route that minimizes driving time between tastings.

Do we need winery reservations?

Most Napa wineries are reservation-only. Book tastings before your visit, or ask us — we are happy to suggest wineries that fit your route and take same-week reservations.
