What a Calistoga tasting day looks like
We usually run Calistoga days as a loop: up the Silverado Trail in the morning while it’s empty, a hillside or castle tasting before lunch in town, then one or two smaller producers on the flats where the winemaker is often the one pouring. If your group wants the full Calistoga experience, we’ll build in a mud bath or hot-springs soak — your driver reads a book, you turn to jelly, everyone wins.
Driving the Silverado Trail (so you don’t have to)
The Trail is gorgeous and deceptively demanding — narrow shoulders, cyclists, sudden winery driveways, and CHP patrols that know exactly what afternoon tasters look like. It’s the single stretch of road where guests most often tell us the driver “paid for himself.”

Quieter than St. Helena? Yes — past the day-trip crowds, even summer Saturdays feel calm. Spa add-on? Two tastings, lunch, a 90-minute mud bath, one sparkling finish — the classic. Distance from Napa? 30–40 minutes, and with a driver the Trail drive is part of the show.
